Only Showing Icon On Taskbar

By default the taskbar icon will display the caption and the currently active application (in the form of buttons). With these tips you can remove the caption and just show the icon only. That way you still have enough room at the same time if you run many applications.

1. Start the registry editor, how to click the Start button - Run. Type regedit and press OK.

2. Go to the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Control Panel \ Desktop \ WindowMetrics.

3. In the right panel look for string value MinWidth then change the value to -255. If the string value does not already exist, you must create it by right clicking and select New - String Value.

4. Close the registry, and see the results.
